Controlled shot peening introduces compressive residual stress into the surface of metal components to improve fatigue resistance. Shot blasting is a separate service for surface cleaning and preparation. Vibratory finishing, also known as vibro polishing, supports deburring, smoothing and polishing of metal parts.
